What is United EasyUpdate?
United EasyUpdate is an exclusive United Airlines service, which allows you to receive automatic notification of flight delays, schedule changes, cancellations, rebookings, seat upgrades and other valuable travel information. Tell us what information you want and how you want to be notified - by phone, email or wireless device - and we will get the information to you when and where you need it. This service can save you valuable time and really improve your travel experience.

Am I eligible to sign up for United EasyUpdate?
As a Mileage Plus® member, you are eligible to sign up for United EasyUpdate. You will need your Mileage Plus number for the sign-up process. Just go to the United EasyUpdate web site and follow the simple instructions.

How do I sign up for United EasyUpdate?
To sign up for United EasyUpdate, go to the United EasyUpdate web site, click the Login button, and follow the simple instructions. You will need to enter your Mileage Plus number and your united.com password.

Do I need to sign up to receive messages each time I fly?
No. That is one of the advantages of this service. With United EasyUpdate, you only have to sign up once to receive messages on all of your future United flights. We simply track your travel itineraries based on your Mileage Plus number. It does not even matter if you book your reservations through United Reservations, united.com, or a travel agent - as long as your Mileage Plus number is included in the reservation.

What use rname and password do I use to access United EasyUpdate?
Your username for United EasyUpdate is your Mileage Plus number. Your password is the same one you chose when you previously registered on united.com. If you do not yet have a password with united.com, you will be prompted through an authentication process, and be given the opportunity to choose your own password.

I forgot my password. Can you help me?
Yes. If you forget your password, simply go to the Login page and click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link.

What devices does United EasyUpdate support?
There are four types of contact points supported by United EasyUpdate. These include:

  • Voice phone: This can include your home or work telephone, as well as your mobile phone. Messages sent to your voice phone will be read to you by an automated voice. You simply have to answer the phone and the message will be read to you. If your answering machine or voicemail answers the call, a message will be left for you.
  • Email: You can receive messages on any email account, and have it displayed in text-only mode or in graphics mode. Most web based email services, such as AOL, Hotmail, and Yahoo email support graphics mode. Also, software based email products, such as Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes, also support graphics mode.
  • Wireless text phone / pager: Text messages can be sent to phones, pagers and personal digital assistants with text messaging capabilities.

Can I send my flight messages to others, such as my friends, co-workers, and family?
Yes. Simply include their contact information in your United EasyUpdate profile, and then set up your Delivery Options to direct messages to those contact points. This can be very useful for letting others know whether your flight is on-time.

Can I send a message to more than one place at the same time?
Yes. You are not limited to the number of contact points which receive a single message. For example, you may want to have a rebooked flight alert sent to your mobile phone AND to your assistant's email address at the same time.

Can I receive flight information about others' flights?
No. You will only be able to receive flight information for you own flights. However, if the other person you wish to get the flight information for has also signed up for United EasyUpdate, you can ask them to add you to their contact profile.

Is there a cost for this service?
There are no charges for United EasyUpdate. This is a complimentary service, designed to save you valuable time and improve your travel experience with United Airlines.

When will I receive my first United EasyUpdate message?
You are able to use United EasyUpdate as soon as you set up your account at the United EasyUpdate web site. You can receive messages on any United flight you take thereafter (even if they were booked before you set up United EasyUpdate).
